John Hongyee's Obituary
With deep sadness and profound love, the family of John Allan Hongyee mourns his passing on February 25, 2024, in Tacoma, Washington.
Born to Juan and Susanna Hongyee in Frankfurt, Germany, John was their cherished only son. He led a private and quiet life, yet his gentle heart left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
John's journey is now pain-free, as he joins our father Juan C. Hongyee and sister in eternal peace.
We invite family and friends to honor John's memory at a Memorial Service on March 12 at 2:00 PM PT in the Aspen Chapel Celebration of Life Center at Mountain View Memorial Park in Lakewood, Washington. Graveside committal service to follow at 3:30 PM PT.
John leaves behind his beloved mother Susanna Hongyee, and sisters Terry (Larry) Taylor, Barbara (Kimo) Wong, Donna (Scott) Booth, and Laura (Jeff Holmes) Woods. He was also cherished by his nieces and nephews: Kenneth Taylor, Jennifer Wong, Samantha Taylor Krause, Shelby Booth Wymer, Danielle Taylor, and Jordan Booth, who affectionately knew him as "Uncle John."
John found joy in cheering for his beloved Philadelphia Eagles, and whenever we hear "Fly, Eagles, Fly," we'll think of him fondly. You are loved and will be missed by many.
