John Henry Murphy's Obituary
John H. Murphy Has taken the high road to greener pastures. Dad was born in his grandma Robert's home, Tacoma, November 14, 1916 and passed on June 2, 2008. John drove transit bus in Tacoma for 40 years before retiring in 1982. Dad and Mom enjoyed traveling the States and abroad: Europe, Spain, the Caribbean and Mexico. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Patsy, son John (Sharon), granddaughters Elizabeth Murphy, and Diana (Andrew) Nicely, great grandson, Nicholas Nicely, brother , Charles O. (Alberta), sisters, Alice Doyle and Lauretta (Russell) White, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. John was predeceased by his brother Clarence and niece Theresa Frederick. Dad will be missed by all who knew his ready smile and sense of humor. Viewing: June 6th, 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. at Mountain View. Services: June 7th, 11:00 a.m. in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. S.W., Lakewood. Donations may be made to the cancer fund of your choice.
