John was a wonderful true friend to my husband (sfc Charles E McManus)during our time at Ft.Bragg NC.John loved to come to our home and cook his fish and I loved to see him eat it.He was welcome in our if we were there or not.Wonderful soldier and forever friend in our hearts.Condolence to the family we are saddened at his loss.
I met louie back in the late 60s. We immediately became great friends. Louie invited me over to his house to meet his family. Wow! Huge. He introduced me to his family. And then I met John. At first I felt very intimidated. He looked at me with a very intense stare, and then he smiled and everything changed. I have many fond memories of John. I will never forget the instant love you felt whenever you walked through their front door. A big part of that love was due to John. John, I will never forget you. This is not good bye.
