John J. Bury's Obituary
John J. Bury of Tacoma, went to be with his Lord and Savior and beloved wife Barbara on November 21, 2017. Born April 29th 1928 at his family’s Kapowsin farm, John would graduate from Kapowsin High School. As a young man, John moved to Forks WA. working as a logger while living with his brother Peter Bury. John would go on to work as a Lineman/Serviceman for Puget Sound Power and Light for the next 48 years. His activities included being a member of Toastmasters International, President of the Bethel High Boosters Club, an active pilot and in retirement, elected as a board member for Elmhurst Mutual Power and Light. John is survived by his daughter Cheryl (Bury) Berg, his two sons Stephen and Douglas Bury, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be November 30th from 1 to 5 pm. The funeral service will be held on Friday, Dec. 1st at 1:00 pm at Mountain View Funeral Home.
