John "Bubba" R. Sheneman, born on September 5th, 1945 in Spokane, Washington, passed away on February 12, 2024 in Puyallup, Washington at the age of 78.
John lived a life defined by service, dedication, and humor. He began his journey serving his country in the Army in April of 1962, a commitment that spanned over two decades until his retirement in 1983. His service took him to various places, including 15 memorable years in Germany, where he formed lasting connections and cherished memories. Despite the challenges of the Vietnam War, John faced his duty with courage during his year of service in the conflict.
Transitioning from military life, John dedicated himself to a career at Kenworth for 18 years, where his skilled hands worked on semitrucks. He took pride in his work, often recalling fond memories and sharing stories about his time there.
After retiring from Kenworth, John devoted much of his free time to tending his yard. He had a deep love for gardening and took great pleasure in sharing his knowledge with his grandchildren, imparting upon them the wisdom he had accumulated over the years. John was meticulous in his approach to yard work, ensuring that every detail was tended to, resulting in a beautifully manicured landscape.
John's playful spirit extended beyond the workplace, as he delighted in teasing his siblings with harmless pranks and brought smiles to the faces of cashiers, bank tellers, doctors, and nurses with his jovial personality. His ability to make others laugh and feel at ease endeared him to everyone he encountered.
Above all, John cherished his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter, survived by his loving wife Linda, three daughters, Simone, Elizabeth, and Sonia, numerous grandchildren, and fur babies all who will deeply miss his presence.
