I will always remember Jack as my hard headed marine friend with a heart of gold. He loved his family, and was a man you could count on. I will miss you my friend. Even though I was quite young when Jack joined our family, I remember his kindness towards me, a little sister. He was patient and quiet, but I sensed that he would be the first to stand up should the need arise. Rest in peace, Jack.
I lived with Kathy and Jack for a year when I was out of high school. Jack took me shopping and helped me buy my first car. It was a junker and many of a weekend we would be tinkering under the hood together with me learning the names of tools and their uses and him fine tuning my cantankerous car so I could get to work on Monday. I probably wasn’t as grateful back then to this busy man who found the time to help me out as much as I should have been.
