Jay (John) Aldrich's Obituary
In Loving Memory of
Jay (John) Aldrich
3/24/1962 - 9/19/2023
John James Aldrich “Jay”, age 61, passed away on September 19th, 2023 in his home in Graham, Washington. Jay leaves behind his sons Christopher Aldrich, Sean Aldrich and his three grandchildren Xander (11), Charlotte (9), and Rowan (15 mos).
Jay was born in Yakima and grew up in Tacoma, Washington. He is predeceased by his parents Muriel Armstrong and Harry Aldrich and his stepmother Tessa Aldrich.
Jay was a hardworking man and showed his love through “acts of service”. He took pride in the work he did both professionally and for his loved ones. In his early adult years, Jay joined the United States Coast Guard and volunteered with the fire department. Most recently, Jay could be found cooking for his friends and family, weeding, gardening, and offering a hand when those he loved were in need.
Over the years, what Jay loved above all was his family. His sons and grandkids were his world and he would jump at any chance to spend time with them.
“Papa Jay” we will miss you at school events, shows, after school ice cream trips, Christmas Day, birthdays, and all other milestones to follow.
“Dad”, Thank you for the kindness and love you’ve given to us. Thank you for being a caring father and always being there when we needed it.
We will remember Jay as everything good he often denied to see in himself-as loving, sensitive, hardworking, softhearted, strong-willed, and loved dearly. We will treasure all of our memories with you forever.
