Johana Alexander's Obituary
Johana Alexander passed away peacefully in her sleep at her winter home in Arizona. Johana was born in Hillsboro, Oregon on January 13, 1937. She made her transition from this life to the next on May 4, 2006. She moved to Tacoma as a child and attended Parkland Elementary and Gray Junior High. She later attended Stadium High School. After high school she became a dance teacher at Arthur Murray Dance Studio. Dancing was one of her great passions in her life. Another love was painting and art. She did study art at Highline College. She also was employed for number of years at PeopleÂ's store downtown and at Lakewood. Years later she worked for the Tacoma News Tribune.In 1979 she married Jim Alexander and moved to Othello, Washington. Jim andJohana farmed until 2003. She was member of Allied Arts and Old Hotel Art Gallery of Othello. They started wintering in Arizona in 2000.Johana was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Fern Fuller. Also by her brother Richard Meek and grandson Mathias Thiel.Johana is survived by: her husband Jim Alexander and family members to include, two daughters Victoria Lynndale and her husband Bob of Auburn, and Deborah Foor of University Place. Her son Aaron Robinson resides in Tacoma.In addition she has two stepsons, Jon Alexander of Seattle and Jason Alexander and wife Beth, of the Tri-Cities. She also leaves a brother, Marvin (Bud) Meek and his wife Linda. She is survived by 4 grandsons, 1 granddaughter and 1 great-grandson. In addition Johana has half brothers and sisters in Oregon.Viewing can be done from 11AM until 9PM on Wednesday, May 10th and from 9AM until 1:30PM on Thursday at Mountain View Funeral Home. Memorial services will be held at 3PM on Thursday, May 11th, 2006 in the Mountain View Celebration of Life Center (follow the blue line). A reception will follow. There will be an interment service at 10:30AM on Saturday May 13th at Mountain View Memorial Park.
