Joel Stumph's Obituary
Dad (Joel Stumph) was born in Whitney, NE May 22, 1925 to Paul and Ruth Stumph. He joined the Navy when he was 18, and while stationed in Alameda, CA met Ruth Howard from Tacoma. After the war, they married and made their home in Tacoma. They raised their four children, Dick, Gary, Denny, and Janice in a loving, caring home. Joel worked 43 years for the phone company. Mom passed after 53 years of marriage and Dad met and eventually married a new love of his life, Connie Scusselle. They enjoyed 15 loving and caring years together. Dad is survived by brothers Dwight, John and sister Maxine, sons Dick (Jan), Gary (Darlene), Denny (Mary) and daughter, Janice (Walter), seven grandchildren Rick (Jamie), Rob (Meghan), Darrin, Tyler, Amy, Dillon, Devon and 3 great grandchildren Makenzie, Mason and Reese.
Dad quietly, but proudly, donated 43 gallons of blood to the Cascade Regional Blood Services.
He was an active volunteer for the Telephone Pioneers up until the time of his passing.
He also served in different roles for 45 years on the Board of Directors at Sound Credit Union.
Blood donations can be made to Cascade Regional blood bank in his honor or Franciscan Hospice.
