JoeAnne B. Walters
JoeAnne entered this world 6-20-1930. She left us 6-26-2009. JoeAnne grew up in the Fern Hill area of Tacoma, attending Holy Rosary School and graduating from Lincoln High School in 1948. She is survived by the love of her life, Ken, whom she met through her beloved sister Darlene, now deceased. Ken and JoeAnne married in 1952. They have four daughters: Cynthia, married to Dave Ferber, Stefanie, married to Chris Colom, Jeanine Walters, and Noreen, married to Mike McBride. Mom leaves behind her grandchildren Chris, Christopher, Anne, Nathan, Scotty, Kelley, Sarah, and Makenna. She had 4 great-grandchildren Andrew, Jacob, Teagan and Triston. Mom loved to read, travel, and spend time with her family and loyal dog Buddy. Mom will truly miss her weekly luncheons with her lifelong friend Margaret. The family would like to extend the most heartfelt thanks to St. Joseph Hospital ICU, and the Franciscan Hospice that helped her spend her last days at home with her family. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Vincent de Paul, a charity most dear to our mother's heart. Funeral Mass will be at St. Martins of Tours Church in Fife Wednesday, July 1, 2009 at 11:00 am. Rosary to be said one half hour prior to the ceremony. Burial to follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
