Joanne "Jo" Schoessler
Joanne "Jo" Schoessler, 1/31/1928 - 5/28/2011. Jo passed away quietly at home with family at her side on May 28, 2011 in Yelm. Jo was born on January 31, 1928 in Tacoma, Wa to Frank and Merna Houghton. She attended Lincoln High School in Tacoma. Jo married Ben, the love of her life, on February 6, 1948. They were able to enjoy 62 years together before Ben passed away last November 2010. They lived in Kent and University Place prior to moving to Yelm in 2005. Jo's passion was cooking & baking and will always be remembered for making the most beautiful and scrumptious pies. She enjoyed gardening and was an avid Mariner and Seahawk fan. Jo's family was her pride and joy. She is survived by her daughters Nancy (Pete) Dalton and Debbie (Jim) McBride, 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, June 24 at 1:00 p.m. at the home of her daughter Debbie, 11848 Dan Cook ST SE Yelm, WA. The family suggests memorial donations be given to the American Cancer Society. Mom, you will be greatly missed. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home.
