Joanne Flintoff's Obituary
Joanne Deinas Flintoff, 63, gracefully ended her valiant battle with cancer on April 14, 2010. Joanne was born to Victor and Hilda Deinas January 29, 1947, in Yakima, WA. and at age 5, she moved to Tacoma with her family. After graduating from Lincoln HS in 1965, she began her career with Pacific First Federal Savings and Loan, and most recently worked for Art Redford. Her neatness and attention to detail were evident throughout her life. Joanne enjoyed world-wide travel (especially Maui). Many picnics and parties were enjoyed with family and friends at the "Beach" in Lakebay. Flowers and Joanne's love of birds were always present in her backyard. Joanne married Gary Flintoff, "the love of her life" on March 3, 1990 in Honolulu, HI.
Joanne is forever loved and will be greatly missed by her husband Gary, brother Gary, step-daughter Cindy, aunts Emma, Linda, Eileen, Jeanette, cousins Terry, Nona, and others, the entire Flintoff family, and many wonderful friends. Family wishes to express gratitude to Dr. Gordon Klatt and Lou, Seattle Cancer Treatment and Wellness Center, Dr. Nick Chen, Franciscan Hospice, Nurses Kathy Z., J'Nene, and Betty Lee.
Services will be held at the Celebration of Life Center Thursday, April 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. View. Donations can be made to Franciscan Hospice.
