Joanne Doreen Brown, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully on November 12, 2025, at the age of 94, in Surprise, Arizona. Born on September 1, 1931, in Puyallup, Washington, Joanne lived a remarkable life filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to her family.
For 72 wonderful years, Joanne was married to her devoted husband, Gail Brown. Together, they raised four children who carry forward her legacy of kindness and compassion: Jeff Brown (wife Gail) of Konawa, OK; Russ Brown (wife Marion) of Prescott, AZ; Phil Brown (wife Julie) of Salem, OR; and Brenda Ross (husband Steve) of Silverton, OR. Joanne's family continued to grow and thrive under her nurturing spirit, leaving her with seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren who adored her.
Beyond her cherished role in her family, Joanne was known for her remarkable talent on the golf course. A legendary amateur golfer, she proudly held numerous women’s and senior women’s club and tournament championships, showing the same dedication and skill she exhibited in her family life.
A private family service was held on November 26, 2025, at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lakewood, Washington, allowing loved ones to honor and celebrate the extraordinary life of Joanne Doreen Brown. Her warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know her.
