Threes hopefully the charm, this is the third time I have tried to post and so far it doesn't look like mine are showing, except for the tree planted.
I loved Joanna!!and still do! Smiling thinking of her! Stuffed grape leaves, fierce law student, very loyal brave friend, "seeker", and no one can sing Kumbaya the way she did! 💗💗💗🤩
I loved and continue to love Joanna in a very deep way. (By the way, I apologize if there end up being two posts, I did one and don't think it went through). My favorite memory of her was gathering around for prayers at bedtime with our kids when we would spend the night with them in Southlake. We had many adventures with them, that were amazing, she was an outstanding cook and host, But the best part for me was praying with her and listening to her sing kumbaya to the kids at bedtime with more love than I can describe. You felt you were surely in the presence of an angel. She was also there for me and a brave protector and friend during the darkest moments of my life. My kids and I sense her presence in heaven and feel her help. I will always be grateful for her friendship! 💗💗💗💗😇

I remember Joanna's kindness and hospitableness. In the summer of 2001, my family and I went on a cross-country driving trip that took us through Chicago, where Joanna and her family were living at the time. Joanna hosted the four of us in her home, cooking up a sumptuous steak dinner for us and providing a place for us to bed down for the night. She even arranged with a neighbor for us to park our car in the neighbor's enclosed garage overnight. The next morning, she served up a pancake breakfast before sending us on our way. I remember how enthusiastic she was to host us and how much she genuinely enjoyed our visit. She smiled a lot. We all were made to feel very welcomed. What a blessing.

Joanna was my little sister in our sorority , KKG, at Texas Tech. She was fiercely smart , passionate , and loved her family dearly . We had lost touch over the years but we spoke about a year and a half ago . She was so very proud of her girls !! I pray her family finds peace and that Joanna’s soul is at rest in Jesus’s loving arms .
I met Joanna through an online community, where her energy and love shown very brightly and her presence was always felt and appreciated. I am so sorry for her family's and loved ones' loss, and I also believe she will continue to shine brightly wherever her journey now takes her. I feel lucky to have met her.
Joanna was a classmate of mine. I always considered her to be smart, witty, confident, gracious, and beautiful. I have many fond and fun memories of our years in school together. I’m glad that we stayed in touch throughout the years. This year is our 40th high school reunion. We will miss her greatly. I pray that her family is comforted and that her souls is at rest.
So sorry for your loss. She was an amazing woman. I still think about how she would not put her Baby Jesus out in her nativity scene until Christmas eve! Hoping she is at peace. Peace and love to the family
