Joann Stevens
Joann Stevens, age 76 of Lakewood, WA went to Heaven on September 5, 2012.
Joann was born in Nephi, Utah August 28, 1936 to Ireta and Lawrence Bishop. She was married to Ralph R. Stevens May 24, 1952. She worked as a waitress for over 45 years, her most recent place at Bur's, a small restaurant. She considered her customers like family, listening to their life problems and their good times. Throughout her life she enjoyed bowling, camping trips, and family get togethers. She also enjoyed her times as a Sunday school and home visiting teacher.
Joann is survived by her brother Robert; six children Valerie, Virginia, Cheryl, Vance, Craig, and Curt; her six grandchildren Rebecca, Nathan, Rachael, Vance Jr., Courtney, and Mei Mei.
There are so many lives she touched in a positive way, so many memories that bring a smile and show the wonderful person she was, so many stories about how she made a difference or made someone's day. Joann will be missed but never forgotten. We love you so very much.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Thursday, September 13, 2012 with viewing from 10-11:30 AM at the Lake City Ward Lakewood LDS Stake Center 10018 Farwest Drive with Bishop Hawke officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Park at 1:30 PM.
