To Mr. Carter and Tiffany, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Mrs. Carter was such a beautiful woman and I considered her my friend. I will miss seeing her at church and her wonderful pearls of wisdom she gave me every time I saw her. I am so blessed to have known her. I love you both!

This is Mrs."C" the Cakelady. (rum Cake) I was surprised and very sadden to hear of your loss.
Remembering you in my prayers.
LeRoi, I am so deeply sorry for your Great Loss. I am a witness to how much love and respect you both had for one another. I was thinking about how Elated you were after you and JoAnn married, and the pure joy you felt after Tiffany was born. I felt such Honor when you brought her here to my home in Toledo. That was Such a good day. We had so much fun. My daughter was here with her newborn baby and JoAnn was so taken with him. She seemed to love babies. JoAnn was such an elegant Lady, with such grace and style. I just remember the warmth and love she showed our family. I also remember thinking that there seemed to be a light or a glow about her, in her essence. The look of love that shown through her eyes when she talked about you was awe inspiring. Everyone in the room could feel the deep love and respect you had for one another. I know the pain you are feeling right now but JoAnn is one of Our Angels now. She was also an Angel here on Earth.
All my love, deepest condolences and Prayers go out to you and Tiffany. May God keep you in His arms during your time of grief.
Love to you both.
Your Cousin,
Evette (Eve) Adams-Lawson
My memory of Mrs. Jo Ann Carter was upon she and her husband LaRoi moving across the street in our neighborhood. Her beautiful smile and welcoming personality caused our families to become friends. We traded comforting Soul Food culinary specials during her period of time in the neighborhood checking in on one another's home during periods of absence. There was always a friendly wave and hello from her when we were both coming and going. Rest in Peace JoAnn, your earthly journey is being rewarded by the Heavenly Father.
Offering sincere condolences. I do not know the family but I too have lost a close loved one due to cancer. What has helped me is the promise God holds out in His word the Bible of a time in the very near future when sickness (Isaiah 33:24) death (1Cor. 15:26) and tears caused by pain and sadness (Rev. 21:4,5) will be done away with. May this hope bring you comfort. (2Cor. 1:3,4)
I remember when I was younger and did sleepovers at the Carters home! We used to have a great time, just having girl talk with each other. Mrs. Carter was always welcoming and warm, Tiffany and I became sisters. Now that I think about, I was the only one allowed to ever sleep over. :) Those memories I hold dear to my heart. You will be greatly missed. Rest in paradise....
Love& respect
