Joan K. Miner's Obituary
To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Our sweet mom is now present with the Lord! Our mom joined our dad in heaven, very peacefully on Sept 3. She was the mom that everyone wanted and we were blessed to have her. She radiated Jesus’ love to everyone she met. She made it very clear to us that she wanted her obituary to share the love, hope, peace and forgiveness that can only come from a personal relationship with Christ. We can only imagine the rejoicing in heaven there must be and what happy re-unions are taking place. Because of our faith- we KNOW we will see her again.
Mom loved her church and was well known as a prayer warrior. She had a love for the outdoors. Our beach property “the 13” was a favorite and she also spent many vacations in Maui w/family. She loved her yard and all the birds she fed so faithfully.
She spent the last 55 years in her home on Waller Road but enjoyed her last 7 months at Kings Manor Assisted Living. We would like to thank them and Hospice for their loving care.
She left behind her sons Mike & Steve Miner, daughters Karen (Greg) Armstrong and Chris (Scott) Coleman. Grandkids are Ben (Melissa), Sarah (Clif), Jacob, Caleb, Lanae (Jairus) and Marshall. Great grandkids are Eli, Micah, Cadence, Gavin, Hudson, Ryder and Ainsley.
Her Celebration of Life will be held at Mt View on Sunday, Sept 14th @ 2:00.
