JoAnn Boger's Obituary
JoAnn was born August 22nd, 1939 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho to James and Dorothy Inman.
Her family moved to Yakima shortly after her birth, and she lived there until she married James Boger in 1964, when she moved to Selah, Washington. She spent her final years with family in the Puget Sound Lowlands, passing away in Tacoma on November 15th, 2022.
JoAnn and Jim were inveterate travelers: making frequent car trips to Mexico, Arizona, Las Vegas and Reno. They belonged to the Eagles lodge for years, and both loved live music and dancing. JoAnn was a life-long reader, a chocolate enthusiast, and enjoyed cooking for her family.
JoAnn spent decades as a cook in a number of restaurants in the Yakima area. We will miss her razor-sharp sense of humor, her vast kindness, her deep and abiding love for her family, her welcoming personality, and her ever-present sense of fun.
JoAnn is survived by two sisters, Sharon Clark and Berniece (Hal) Thornton, her daughter Jamie Boger, son-in-law Dan Campbell, grandsons Tyler, Damian and Cory, great-grandchildren Kylie, Julyssa, Salvador, Angelo, Billie, Delilah, Denton, Cooper great-great-granddaughter Cambria, and dozens of cousins, nieces and nephews.
James, her husband of forty-two years entered into rest in 2006, followed by her daughter Candie Campbell in 2019, her sister Faith Roldan and her granddaughter Mireya Oseguera-Boger, both in 2021.
The family will conduct a celebration of JoAnn’s life at a later date
