Joan Lee Berwick's Obituary
Joan Berwick born on a summer day 1930 the eldest of 3 girls born to Nel and Martha. She spent her early years in Seattle and moved to Tacoma in her teens where she graduated from Stadium High School in the 50's. She was preceded in death by both parents, her loving husband of 54 years, Ronald and her son Michael. She was and active member of Trinity and Parkway Presbyterian Church and served as both an elder and deacon. In her 50's she graduated from Clover Park Technical College an began her journey as a Life's Skills Special Education Instructor at Evergreen Elementary School, which she loved! Joan is survived by daughters: Juanita and Sheryl (Wayne); grandchildren, Laurinda (Steven) and Isaac (Jasmine) and great grandchildren; Kierra, Ronald, Zion, Fia, Zyiere and Jayceon (JJ). Her life was filled with joy from the arrival of her grandchildren. She could always be found sharing stories and photos at every gathering. She went peacefully surrounded by her family on "May Day" 2024.
