Jimmy Earl Townsend
January 21, 1955 – June 2, 2015

Jimmy was born on January 21, 1955 to Emmett and Thelma Townsend in Tacoma, Washington. Jim had resided between Utah and Washington until his passing on June 2, 2015.
Jim was preceded in death by his mother Thelma Townsend, his step-mother Iou Townsend, and a nephew Richard Townsend. Jim is survived by two sons Bruce Townsend and Tony Townsend, daughter Ashley Townsend, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his father Emmett Townsend, step-father Ray Anderson, two brothers Rick Townsend and Marty Townsend, sister Debbie Townsend, two step-brothers, and many other family members, mostly from the Tacoma/Spanaway area.
Jim loved to hunt, fish, camp, and many other things like going with his dad Emmett to have breakfast with men friends to gossip - and some think women are bad, please. Jim always loved to laugh and always had a smile on his face even till the end.
Jim will be missed and will be kept in our hearts. We love you Jim!
A celebration of Jims life will be held on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at 1:00PM in the Celebration of Life Center Aspen Chapel with reception to follow in the Willow Room at Mountain View Funeral Home.
