Jimmy Brown's Obituary
Jimmy was born to Jacob and Varreece (Stephens) Brown on October 22, 1934 in McKinney, Texas and later moved with his family to California.
Jimmy graduated from Ventura High school and later attended and graduated from Ventura Community College. He played football in high school and college and was on the varsity teams. Jimmy's love of sports of all kinds as well as fishing remained with him throughout his life, along with his love for his kids, his nieces and nephews.
Jimmy was a giver and would give his last dollar to help a family member or a friend.
Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, James, Jacob Jr., Curtis, and Wilbert. He is survived by his sisters, Betty Jackson, Ruth Faye Hayes, Emma Brown, and Gerry Brown along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends wishing to honor Jimmy may donate to a local food bank in his name.
