Jimmie Leone Pritchard was born July 19, 1922 in Couer d'Alene, ID to James Leo and Ida Mae Pritchard. She told many wonderful stories of growing up in Northern Idaho with her four sisters. After graduating from Kingston High School in 1940, she worked at JC Penney. A year later she married Roy McKasson and they moved to the Lakewood area. In 1984 she married William Kohten of Steilacoom where they moved into the home he built for them. They spent many happy years traveling and cruising until he passed in 2000. She enjoyed her years tutoring at Cherrydale Grade School. She was a member of the Lake City Community Church and later St. John's Lutheran.\
Jimmie was preceded in death by her sisters June (Elmer) McClain, Irene (Clayton) Bauman, and Bette (Glen) McKasson. She is survived by her sister Donna (Harry) Burmeister of Idaho. Also surviving is daughter G. Sharon (Robert) Miles and son Dennis L. (Cathy) McKasson, and grandchildren Sallie Miles, Steve Miles, Scott McKasson and Ryan McKasson, and great-grandsons Dylan and Carson Majewski and Durren and Josh McKasson as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by Bill's daughters Ann (Bruce) Akin and Kathy (Herb) Gordon, daughter-in-law Sue Kohten and their children and grandchildren.
She celebrated her 90th birthday with family last month. She lived her final year at Garden Courte Memory Care in Olympia. She passed peacefully August 14, 2012.
She had a great sense of humor and was loved by all who knew her.
Viewing will be held at 11:00 with funeral services to follow at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 21, 2012 in the Mountain View Garden Chapel.
