Jimmie LeAir's Obituary
Jimmie Victor "Jimbo" LeAir
Jimmie Victor LeAir was born in Huntington Beach, California on October 28, 1966 to Valera Jean LeAir and Clarence Jimmie Hampton and passed away October 25, 2018 in Puyallup, Washington.
Jim has always been referred to as “Happy” LeAir, from birth to the end, he always had a smile on his face that just spread throughout the room. As a child Jim enjoyed entertaining everyone and had a passion for baseball. He eventually played in the AAA series. He went to school in CA to become a brick mason and soon after he moved to WA. After some time, he moved into the Heating & Cooling business where he met his wife Connie. They worked together at 2 different companies, and eventually started LeAir Climate Control, his legacy. Jim was an outstanding man that was very determined to succeed at everything. If you knew Jim, you could attest that he is the best friend, amigo, confidant and someone you could count on for anything, no question. He was an avid rock and roll fan, in particular Metallica & Iron Maiden, and loved his Harley Davidson. He liked long rides with friends or even a day ride. Jim enjoyed spending time with friends and family especially if there was an RV and campfire involved. He liked to go hunting, not necessarily for the hunt, but just to spend time with people. He had a vast number of friends that was apparent with all the visitors he had while he was home sick. He even had customers that became lifelong friends, everyone loved “Jimbo”. If he needed anything, all he had to do is say the word, and they would be there for him just as he would do for them.
Jim was dealt a hand that no one should have to endure when he was diagnosed with Glioblastoma (brain cancer) in July of 2016. Most people have just 6-10 months to live. He survived the original tumor for over a year and a half before the second tumor appeared, which was extremely aggressive. He fought hard and had to go through two brain surgeries, radiation multiple times and several debilitating drugs including chemotherapy. In the midst of all that, he had a tear in his intestines that resulted in four surgeries. He never complained, just fought with a smile on his face. He had a bucket list that he and his wife were able to achieve amidst his illnesses. They made memories that will be remembered for a lifetime.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather Even Merle “Speck” LeAir, Nola Grace (Hutchison) LeAir, father Clarence Jimmie Hampton, brother Evan “Sonny” LeAir, Sister Janet Czuper (Paul). His survived by his mother Valera Jean Grill (Louie), wife Constance Ann (Christian) LeAir, children Stevan LeAir, Heather Nichole Panuco (Marco), Benjamin LeAir, Sebastian LeAir, Joshua L Woslager (Breanna), Jennifer Rene’ Crawford, Allison Diane Woslager, grandchildren Ryker Christian Woslager, Cecelia Antonia Panuco, Ezekiel Antonio Panuco, siblings Jeff Garretto (Kelly), John LeAir, Scott Grill (Cindy), Jacquie Hampton, Ivan Hampton, June Cafmeyer (Jim), Jimmie George LeAir (Linda), Jackie Johnson (Jim), Joy LeAir (Jack) and Jerry LeAir.
The family would like to thank everyone that came out to help during his time in need and in preparation for this event.
