Jewel Caroline Requa's Obituary
Caroline, beloved mother and grandmother was received by her Lord and Savior on October 26, 2016. She was greatly loved by family and many friends.
Jewel Caroline Requa, daughter of Dale and Lois Moorhead was born in Tacoma, Washington on September 10, 1937.
Caroline retired in 2002 after a long career with North Proctor Safeway Bakery where she was affectionately known by many as the “Cookie Lady”.
Caroline had been an active member of Central Lutheran Church all her life. She exemplified her devotion to the Lord in all aspects of her daily living.
Caroline was not a member of an organization or club that coordinated her volunteer efforts. She was her own “one woman” outreach angel. Hundreds of people have benefited from her God given gift to love unconditionally and tirelessly. Thousands of handwritten cards are cherished by those who were touched by her boundless love. Caroline truly reflected Christ’s love to everyone she met. She nurtured and supported not just her family, but countless friends who became her extended family.
Caroline is survived by her brother Keith D. (Karen); daughter, Lori Johnson (Brian), son, Dale Requa (Diana); son, Todd Requa; son, Andrew Requa (Heather); grandchildren, Nicolas Johnson (Jesika), Natalie Bradley (Ryan), Narissa Johnson, Katie and Chrissy Requa.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 3rd at 12 noon at Central Lutheran Church, 409 Tacoma Ave. N., Tacoma, Washington 98403.
