J. Evon Upton's Obituary
J. Evon Upton Born August 17, 1935 to Lily and Evon Upton; passed away January 2, 2012. J. was a friend to all who knew him. His interests spanned a wide range of topics, which included professional motorcycle racing in the 50s, a deep love of all things philosophical, musical (especially classical but also jazz), and woodworking. J. married Maria Upton May 9, 1969, where he became a stepdad to Lisa, Anne, and Janis. He was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He is survived by his wife, stepkids, sister, and grandkids. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. A memorial service will be held Saturday January 14, 2012 at 11:00 AM at Mountain View in Lakewood.
