Jesus T Quintanilla's Obituary
Retired Master Sergeant Jesus (Bike) Taitague Quintanilla, Sr. of Lakewood, Washington passed away on 22 October 2020 at the age of 73 at Madigan Army Medical Center, Tacoma, Washington. Bike was born on 21 December 1946 in Agat, Guam to his parents Manuel and Ana Quintanilla. Bike enlisted in the United States Army in 1968 and began his career as an Infantryman. He served his country proudly for over 24 years with overseas tours in Vietnam, Okinawa, Korea, and Germany. Stateside assignments included Ft. Ord (CA), Ft. Hood (TX), Ft Campbell (KY), Ft Dix (NJ), and Ft. Lewis (WA). Bike received numerous medals such as the Purple Heart, Bronze Star, and Army Commendation medal during his military service. However, Bike’s greatest accomplishment were his three children; Jesse, Jaime, and Jenna (His Legacy). Bike wants his family to remember him as a loving, protective, and loyal father and husband, who encouraged his children to follow their dreams. He loved fishing, gardening, any boxing event, the Seattle Seahawks, and most of all, being a taxi for his grandchildren. He was a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects around the house and was always ready to assist his family, friends, and neighbors. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by all who knew him.
