Jessie Irene McSwain passed to eternal life on Dec 23, 2009 at the age of 98. Born in London, England August 21, 1911, she came to the US after WWII and gained citizenship in 1958. An Air Force wife, she devoted herself to building a loving home and raising her children with Christian values, and a strong work ethic. She will be remembered with great love and respect by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her siblings; great-granddaughter, Lynsi Pedersen; her husband of 52 years, Lloyd N. McSwain; and daughter, Nancy Gail Rogers. She is survived by 3 sons, Fred, Lloyd, and Charles; 4 daughters, Jean, Anne, Barbara, and Debra; 28 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great grandchildren.
A tribute to Jessie's remarkable life will be held on Saturday, January 2 at 2:00PM at Mountain View Funeral Home in the Valley Chapel; 4100 Steilacoom Blvd, Lakewood, Wa. In lieu of gifts, donations may be sent to the: "Foundation Fighting Blindness"; PO Box 17279, Baltimore, MD 21203-7279.
