Jesse Lee Harris' Obituary
Jesse Lee Harris was born on January 12th, 1988, in Killeen, Texas to Beverly and Elbert Harris. He is survived by his wife Ashley and children, Kehlani-6, Kamaria-12, and Khalil-12; his sister and brother, LeKeisha and Anthony Harris; his sister-in-law Jakera Harris, his brother-in-law and best friend Jabari Shelby and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and half brothers and sisters all whom he loved very much.
Jesse was a unique, caring, and talented man. Everyone who met him, loved him because he was genuinely interested in the well-being of others and always willing to offer assistance as needed. He was the one who initiated visits with family, friends and neighbors and regularly called out-of-town family to keep in touch. He cared about everyone he knew and extended himself to help them, sometimes to his detriment.
Jesse was also a hardworking talented contractor. He enjoyed working with his hands and would proudly show pictures of his finished concrete and tile work including newly paved driveways, a new shingled roof, beautifully built decks, remodeled kitchens and bathrooms.
He had a love for all kinds of music genres, playing pool and especially socializing with friends, bosses and co-workers. He was the block-watch and nearly every neighbor knew and liked Jesse!
Most importantly, he loved his family. Adored his wife Ashley, loved “his twin” baby girl Kehlani (he called her Tiny) and was very proud of and loved the twins, Kamaria and Khalil. He fostered the kids love of music, taught them how to conduct themselves as young ladies and young man of the house and constantly encouraged the kids to serve Jehovah. His love for God and respect for the Bible was instilled in him by his grandmother, Hattie Eley (who proceeded him in death on November 7th, 2020), and his close bond with his mother, brother and sister was steadfast.
All who knew Jesse appreciated his kindness, his interest in the well-being of others, and his industriousness. He was loved and will be greatly missed.
