Jesse Taitague Babauta's Obituary
Jesse Taitague Babauta was called home to our Heavenly Father December 27th 2024 at the young age of 58. Born December 16 1966 on the island of Guam, to Maria and Jose Babauta. The eldest grandchild of Lourdes and Joseph Taitague and the eldest of four boys (Augusto, Freddie and Danny.) Jesse spent majority of his formative years as a military child that had the unique experiences in living in Okinawa, Japan; Fort Lewis, Washington; Fort Davis, Panama; Fort Stewart, Georgia; Portland, Oregon and finally returning home to Inarajan, Guam, where Jesse graduated from Inarajan High School, Class of 1985.
Jesse briefly served in the U.S. Army Reserves, as a photographic laboratory specialist. He later moved to Oahu, Hawaii and became a Police Officer for the Hawaii Police Department, and earned the Top Recruit Award, for his graduating class. He served 11 years in total, with the Hawaii Police Department before transferring to the King Country Sherriff Department and resided in Bonney Lake, WA with his wife Dianna and kids – Daniel, Justin, and Tess. Jesse dedicated 30years of his life to law enforcement service and retired in July 2021.
Jesse is survived by his Mother (Maria Babauta); three brothers (Augusto, Freddie, Danny and their families); His son Daniel (wife Megan, granddaughter Amira, and grandson Malakai), son Justin and daughter Tess (granddaughter Kaylani). He is further survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews throughout the US to include back home on Guam.
Jesse’s passions were art, tattoos, tattooing, traveling, cooking, reggae music and family. He will always be remembered as a person of compassion, love, and care to everyone he encountered and will be sorely missed by all.
