Jerry Dolman Webster's Obituary
Jerry D. Webster passed peacefully on June 17, 2024. In Tacoma, WA. Jerry was born in Portland, Oregon and dedicated his life to being a devoted husband and father to his three children and four stepchildren. He worked as a Nurse at Puget Sound Hospital in Tacoma, WA and the VA Medical Hospital in Lakewood, WA.
Jerry is preceded in death by his wife Wanda Webster, his mother Alberta Webster, his father Cecil Webster, his two stepsons, Steven, and Ray Haynie. He is survived by his brother Daniel S. Webster and spouse Paula, his 3 sons and their families, Daniel S. Webster and Molly, Martin Webster and Ann, Robert Webster and Tammy. Sean Haynie, stepson Kimberly Haynie, stepdaughter. He had 8 grandchildren, Katherine Webster (Flores, Francisco), James and Emily Webster, Elizabeth Webster, Daniel S. and Anna Webster, Jeanette Webster (Barone, Chris), Ashley Webster (Sellers, Antonio), Kory and Rebekah Webster, and Kelsy Webster (Medina, Marc), and his 7 great grandchildren, Henry Flores, Ruby Flores, Grace Webster, Gus Webster, Luke Barone, Olivia Barone, Leo Webster and Everly Webster.
Jerry passed away with his youngest son at his side. Jerry was born on March 1, 1933, in Portland Oregon, He attended Lincoln High School. He served in the U.S. Navy for 3 years 1953 – 1955. He was married to Muriel in 1955-1973 and they raised their family of three boys in South Tacoma. He worked for WSDOT doing construction on I-5 in the local area. He was a huge fan of boxing Golden gloves champion and participated in local smokers. Jerry worked hard as an orderly nurse at the VA Hospital and Puget Sound Hospital, supporting his family. Jerry loved to meet new people and would chat up strangers on the street. He was a friendly man and would help those in need. Jerry had a second start with his wife Wanda, retiring in Brinnon, Washington. As the years progressed, they would move around to Shelton, Puyallup, and back to Tacoma.
Dad will be missed and remembered with much love. He is now resting in peace.
