Jerry V. McCarthy's Obituary
Jerry V. McCarthy Jerry was born in Riverside, CA on September 19, 1926 to Cliff and Genevieve McCarthy. After high school, Jerry enlisted in the Army. In 1950, he married Tokie Ogura, in Yokohama, Japan. They were together for 62 years. In 1953, their son Richard was born. Jerry retired from the Military in 1965 and began a 2nd career as a Sergeant for the Fircrest police Department. Jerry loved being a Police Officer. After retiring, he and Tokie enjoyed many years of traveling and visited Japan every year. He was also a member of the Gig Harbor Elk's Club. Jerry is survived by his living wife Tokie, son Richard, nephew Dana and wife Vicky and nephew Bruce. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Madigan hospital for thier wonderful care during Jerry's illness. Services will be held at 11:30 am on Wednesday Feburary 8, 2012 at Mountain View Funeral Home.
