Jerry Schuck,'s Obituary
Jerry Benjamin Shuck, Sr. He passed away February 15, 2008 after a long illness. Jerry was born on Feb. 9, 1936 in Marysville, Ca. Jerry was a proud member of the Marine Corp and served 27 years as a police officer/detective for the Salinas PD. After retiring from the PD, he and his beloved wife, Norma, moved to the sunny Gulf coast of Florida. Retirement found him pursuing his hobbies, such as creating seashell ornaments, writing short stories and a part time investigator. Several hurricanes later, Jerry and Norma moved to Gig Harbor to be closer to family. In Washington, he found his love of unique woodcrafting and would take his grandson, Justin to swap meets to sell his crafts. He will be deeply missed by all his friends and family. Though our grieve is softened by the knowledge he is no longer in pain, his stories and jokes will forever be etched in our hearts and minds. Jerry is survived by his wife of 49 years, Norma and their three children Jerry, Steven and Kimberly. He was also a proud "pop-pop" to Violet, Stephanie, Lindsey, Justin, Bailey and Katelyn. A celebration of his life will be held in the Garden Chapel at Mountain View Funeral Home on Thursday, February 21st at 2:00 PM. Our sincere thanks to Larry and Joy, neighbors and to Pastor Scott Brents for helping us though this difficult process.
