Jerome Brown's Obituary
Jerome Brown passed away on January 7, 2011 at age 51 after a long illness. He was born at Fort Lewis, Washington. He grew up in the Tacoma area until his senior year of High School when he relocated to Germany and graduated from Stuttgart American High School, in Stuttgart, Germany. He returned to Tacoma, Washington in 1979. He worked for Intercheck Printing Company in Lakewood, Washington and married his High School sweetheart Vicki M. Adams in 1981. He relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where he worked for South Bell until he became disabled.
Jerome was preceded in death by his father, Willie Nathaniel Brown, of Charleston, South Carolina; sister, Cynthia D. Brown, and both grand parents Odessa M. Jones and Joseph Cleveland Jones, of Tacoma, Washington. He is survived two children from his marriage to Vickie Brown, daughter Jakeisha Maree Brown, of Ft Valley, Georgia and son Jerome Brown, II, of Atlanta, Georgia, (3) sister Merlyn D. Mason of Renton, Washington, Teddi J (Jan) Brown) of Palmdale, California, and Yvette A. Harris, (Lyndon BoBo) of Tacoma, Washington and (1) brother Willie N. Brown, of Tacoma, Washington, and a host of relatives and friends.
Everyone who knew Jerome Brown is invited to his viewing at Mountain View Mortuary located at 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, Washington 98499, Monday, January 17, 2011, 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m... Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at Eastside Baptist Church located at 3575 Portland Avenue, Tacoma, Washington 98404, followed by a graveside ceremony and Repass at Eastside Church.
