Jeri Allen Witmer's Obituary
Jeri Allen Witmer, born in Tacoma WA and lived here his entire life. Jeri passed away suddenly early morning, January 19, at home with his wife of 56 years by his side. Jeri graduated from Lincoln High School in 1959. In the fall of 1959, he joined the Air Force. After boot camp Jeri was assigned to a base in Oxford England for four years. Jeri attended Green River Community College and Tacoma Community College where he worked towards a degree in Environmental Management. Jeri worked for Pennwalt Chemical for 28 years at which the company closed. He retired his career working for Harland Check Printing. Jeri was an active member of the Tacoma Elks Club for over 60 years and a member of Marine View Presbyterian Church. Jeri was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. Jeri is survived by his wife Carol, sisters Jean Shade, Claudia Cope, brother James Witmer, nephews Mark (Laura) Heldreth, David (Tom) Curtice, niece Stephanie (Greg) Schemlz, Nadine Sangston, grandchildren Blaine (Allie) Sangston, Britney Sangston, great - grandchildren Violet, Lillian and Penelope Sangston.
