Jerald C. Lofgren Sr.'s Obituary
Jerald C. Lofgren Sr, a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, passed away on September 19, 2023 in Tacoma WA. Jerry was born to Clarence and Loretta (Dutcher) Lofgren on March 22, 1935, in Burbank, South Dakota, and had three sons Dwayne, Jerald Jr., and Eric.
Jerry proudly served 22 years in the Air Force working on the Aerospace Control and Warning Systems and retired as a master sergeant. He later spent the rest of his professional career working for X-Cel Feeds out of Tacoma, WA.
Jerry was an avid bowler, dancer, and an extremely dedicated family man. Jerry's contagious smile and loving heart will be missed by all.
He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Loretta and sons Jerald Jr. and Dwayne. He is survived by his wife Darlene, son Eric, brother Doug (Susan) sister Norma, grandson Guy (Krystal), great-grandchildren Jerald, Sarai, Jacob, Alyxia, Mystyc, Korbyn, great-great-grandchild Harper, and soon-to-be baby due in March.
Funeral services will be held at Mountain View Funeral Home in Tacoma, WA on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at 12:00 in the Garden Chapel.
In remembrance of Jerry's life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Fisher House Foundation which give back to U.S. veterans.
