Jennifer Nicole Staley's Obituary
A beloved daughter, granddaughter, sister, niece, cousin, aunt, uncle and friend, Jennifer Nicole Staley left us here unexpectedly at age 34, on Feb. 14, 2022, in Tacoma WA.
Born in Yakima, WA. on June 9th, 1987, to John Staley and Melissa Mataya, Jennifer attended elementary School in Yakima before relocating with her family to Pierce County in 2001. Jen was a lover of the arts, enjoyed playing and listening to music and spending time with her family and fur babies. She was funny, fearless, and compassionate, she was also the most dependable and giving person imaginable. She packed a lot of life into her short time on earth. She was a Firefighter, Army National Guard, Military Police upon deployment, EMT and most recently was realizing her dream and talent as a tattoo artist.
We will always remember her warm and beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and caring personality. Her presence in our lives will be sorely missed. When you think of Jen celebrate the good memories you have of her. Turn the music up on a sunny day. Tell those you love how you feel about them all the time. Remember how she could make you feel like you were the only one in the room when you needed a friend. Most of all remember that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her grandparents, great grandparents, and a beloved cousin. She leaves behind her parents, Father John Staley, Stepfather Terry and her Mother Melissa Mataya, sister’s Samantha Staley and Sarah Jhanson, her rescue dogs Captain and Riley, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held 12 pm. Friday April 8th, 2022, at Mountain View Memorial Park in the Celebration of Life/Aspen Chapel, located at 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW Lakewood WA.
Donations can always be made to a pet rescue in her name.
