Jennifer Margaret Gray Reiter's Obituary
Our Beloved Mother Jennifer Margaret Gray Reiter, born on July 14, 1953, passed away Sunday April 5, 2015
A native of Puyallup, WA, she graduated from Puyallup High School in 1971 where she began her basketball career. From there, she attended Washington State University where she broke many records as a basketball player, some of which still currently stand. In 2012 she was inducted into the WSU Athletic Hall of Fame.
In 2000, she went back to school and received her teaching certification for the University of Washington-Tacoma. From there, she began her teaching career where she received several certifications and endorsements, including her Masters in American History from Ashland University. She was also a James Madison Fellowship Award winner.
For the last 10 years, she has been a history teacher at Carver Middle School in Tulsa, OK. As an avid history fan and devoted teacher, she received many awwards and accolades throughout her teaching career. She also coached many teams in Volleyball, Basketball, and Track & Field.
She is survived by her father, Maurice, her son David and wife Nakiah, her daughter Rebecca and husband, Aaron. By her two grandsons, Courtland and Thane, and by the vast network of friends all over the country.
