Jeffrey Reid Wasson's Obituary
Jeffrey Reid Wasson was born on August 6, 1963, in Fort Knox, Kentucky to father Billy Gene
Wasson and mother Judy “Kum Sun” Wasson (nee Kang). Jeffrey was called to the Lord on
October 24, 2023, from his Spanaway home. He was 60 years old. The son of a military father,
Jeffrey spent much of his childhood relocaSng across the United States. From the coast of
Maryland to the fields of Kentucky, Jeffrey was no stranger to change. Growing up, Jeffrey
enjoyed many adventures surrounded by his brother, Ricky, and many endearing cousins. Like
his father before him, Jeffrey, too, found love in Korea where he met and married his soulmate,
Myung Hee Wasson (nee Chung). They seZled in Washington State where they began a family.
He enjoyed spending Sme in the outdoors, whether it be going to the beach, the forests and
mountains, or an evening walk with his wife. Jeffrey also enjoyed being acSve, spli[ng firewood
in his youth and helping tend the garden in later life. A lifelong sports fan, he could always be
found watching the Mariners, Seahawks, or any number of college teams that he supported. A
dedicated husband and loving father, Jeffrey’s love for his God and family will never be
forgotten.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father Billy Wasson, mother Judy Wasson, brother Derwin
Lee Wasson, and sister Sandra Kay Wasson.
Jeffrey is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Myung Wasson, son Paul Wasson, brother Ricky
Wasson (Kelly), and nieces Abigail, Sophia and Olivia.
