Our family remembers Jean for her contagious smile and cheerful "hi" at our monthly Creative Memories' workshops over the past 11 years. Jean was an eager learner of new scrapbooking techniques and wanted the best supplies to preserve her family's memories. She was careful to record details that made her albums special. She often brought treats from her favorite bakery and when that one closed up found another one that baked delicious cookies and cinnamon bread. We exchanged recipes, jam, chocolates, potted plants, and other home made goodies. I looked forward to our visits together and will miss her grandmotherly presence in our home.
Our two kids, ages 15 and 12 appreciated her genuine interest in their lives of 4-H animals, crochet, crafts, and other creations. She took the time to look at their projects and ask questions. Jean loved to handle the baby chicks, ducks or rabbits whenever we had them. She talked directly to the animals greeting them and asking how they were doing, which always delighted the kids that someone else loved the animals as they did. That was just Jean’s way to be friendly and caring. Also, Jean bought dozens of fresh eggs and loved the various shapes, sizes, and colors from the different breeds of chickens our kids have raised. They will remember her as a good listener and will miss her caring ways.##imported-begin##Corrine Richey##imported-end##
