Jay Woods' Obituary
Â"Blessed is the man that trusts in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.Â" Jeremiah 17:7I was born on August 6, 1927 to Frank and Edith May Woods. I had 4 brothers and 3 sisters. May 9, 1951 I married the love of my life, Anna Marie Lofstedt. We were married 54 years when she died July 25, 2005. I was baptized at Bethany Lutheran Church in Port Orchard on May 6, 1955. IÂ've been going to St. JohnÂ's Lutheran Church in Lakewood the past 46 years. Anna and I had three children, Sherri Thomas (Steve), Tyler Woods (Terry), and DaLisa Woods; six grandchildren, Laura Voges (Tim), Mark Thomas (Carissa), Jason Woods (Stephanie), Annalisa Waunch (Jake), Danielle Woods and Karine Woods; and five great-grandchildren, Reagan, Caden, Allison, Alex and Sierra. We were preceded in death by grandson, David Thomas. I leave behind three brothers and one sister, Frank, Ray, Gerry, Leona and many more family. The rest are waiting for me on the other side.I will miss you guys but nobody lives forever. God bless each of you. I loved you all very much. Be good to each other.A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 16, 11:00 a.m. at St. JohnÂ's Lutheran Church. Instead of flowers, you can give money to church.
