Jay Cecil Gregory's Obituary
Celebrating the Road Well Traveled of Jay Cecil Gregory
August 17th, 1951 – May 11th, 2026
We celebrate the beautiful life of Jay Cecil Gregory, whose journey started in Tacoma, Washington, and finished peacefully at home in Olympia. His story shines with open skies, winding roads, and engines that roared with possibility.
Jay loved everything outdoors and found special joy in classic cars and hot rods. Whether being on the dock or admiring a gleaming fender, he felt most alive under a clear warm sky and beside a polished engine.
Born in Tacoma on August 17th, 1951, Jay carried a sense of adventure from childhood into every stage of life. That spirit defined his days and inspired those lucky enough to spend time with him.
He was an amazing Farmers Insurance Agent owner for 36 years, with true dedication to his clients and local business owners.
Jay’s family was his anchor. He is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Stormy (Todd) Crowe, Tim Holte, Craig Holte and Alicia Holte, Lori-Ann Casey. Grandkids Hayden, Aslyn & Stella, Lily, Gracelyn, Violet, Scarlet & Luna, Devon & Selena. Great-Grands Kai, Jocelyn. Family and many good Friends. He now joins his son, Robert Gregory, and his parents, William and Iona Gregory, who passed before him.
Today we choose joy as we recall Jay’s love for fresh air, smooth rides, and the freedom of the open road. May each memory of him bring a smile, a sense of possibility, and the spark of adventure he shared so generously.
