Janis devoted her life to helping others. Not only in her nursing career where she was loved even by the toughest of patients, but after retiring in 2012 she became more involved with church where she began helping to cook and run a twice monthly hot meal for the community. She dedicated a little over 10 years to this ministry. Even the outbreak of covid could not stop Janis and her crew from providing meals to the less fortunate as they began making sack lunches to take to local homeless camps. They collected toiletries and coats, socks, and caps when they were able.
Janis will be missed by many.
