Janice Lynn Robertson's Obituary
Janice Lynn Robertson, born on September 13, 1951 to John and Ruth Hocker passed away on April 9, 2024. She was a cherished wife to James Robertson for over 50 years and a loving mother to her three children, Ryan Robertson (and wife Erin), Erin Abrigo (and husband Ardyl), and Eileen Osera (and husband Kris). She is survived by her four sisters, Elaine, Marsha, Karen, and twin Jeanne.
Janice dedicated her life to education, serving as a devoted teacher and later as a respected vice-principal. She spent the majority of her career dedicated to the students of Tacoma School District. Her passion for teaching touched countless lives, leaving a lasting impact on her students and colleagues alike.
Beyond her professional achievements, Janice found her greatest joy in her role as a mother and grandmother. She showered her children in love and dedicated her life to supporting them. She adored her grandchildren, Grace (19), Wyatt (17), James (13), and Bella (12), and cherished every moment spent with them. She spent her life caring for others and making sure all felt her love.
Janice will be remembered for her unwavering kindness, boundless compassion, and infectious enthusiasm for life. Her legacy of love and dedication will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She was the “wind beneath our wings” allowing us to sore through life.
A celebration of Janice's life will be held on May 4th at 10 in the morning at Mountain View’s Garden Chapel (on-site reception to follow in the Willow Room). She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 11:25).
