Janice Mueller's Obituary
Janice Mueller, 93, of Puyallup, WA, went to be with Jesus on Saturday,
December 21, 2013. She was born June 26, 1920 to Ray and Velma
(Collins) Beckner.
Janice was a proud graduate of Port Angeles High School. She spent her
early years working as a secretary for a PA legal firm. She was an active
member (and violinist) of The Apostolic Faith Church, where she met and
married Myron Mueller. Once married, they moved to Puyallup. In the
mid 1950's she traded in her typewriter and short-hand pad for the
opportunity to be a loving mother, a doting foster parent and a beloved
Sunday school teacher.
Janice was a devoted homemaker, a caring grandmother and a faithful
Christian. She prayed for many, had grace for all, judged not, and was
kind to anyone. She was a modest woman who believed that God can
exchange our crisis for a crown and turn our tragedies into triumphs. A
soft spoken mother and grandmother who smiled often, would hug as if it
were her last and could easily recite the perfectly needed scripture verse,
poem or prayer.
Her interests included writing devotionals, various crafts, sewing, playing
her violin, reading, a good card game of Flinch, snuggling with her cat
Purdy and reading with her granddaughter Rachel.
Janice is survived by her brother Bert Beckner of Port Angeles; daughter
Holly (Brian) Millington of Puyallup; grandson Jeff Burlingame of ID;
granddaughter Heather Barry of ID; granddaughter Rachel Millington of
Puyallup; great-granddaughter Ariana Barry of Kapowsin; great-
granddaughters Patience and Lauraly Ricks of ID; and several nieces and
nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Myron John Mueller;
son Stephen (Steve) Wesley Mueller; Brother Shirley Beckner and Sister Marian Park.
