Janice K. Mckinney
February 4, 1962 to October 31,2013.
Age 51 of Tacoma, Washington passed unexpectedly on October 31, 2013. She was born on February 4, 1962 in Bessemer, Alabama to Evelyn Scarbrough and Leonard Wright.
Janice graduated from Mt. Tahoma high school in 1980.She went on to complete the TCC Radiology Technology Program. She was a highly skilled and caring x-ray technologist for over 30 years. She was employed by Group Health Cooperative at the time of her passing. She loved vacationing, spending time with family and friends, and visiting the ocean, lighthouses, and beloved property.
She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and best friend. She is survived by her husband Douglas, and two sons; Joshua and Jeremy. Janice is also survived by brother Richard Wright (Diane), Sister in laws Sena McKinney, Cheryl McKinney (Wanda Sinkovic) Pam James, Nieces, Nephews, Best friend Tee Tee, and two god children; Ian and Makenna Schlaffman. Janice was preceded in death by both of her parents.
Janice's warm and kind spirit will never be forgotten.
Memorial services will be held at Mt. View Funeral Home on Friday November 8, 2013 at 3:00 pm. A Celebration of Life Reception will follow at the IAFF Local 31 Fireman’s Hall located at1109 south 50th street Tacoma, WA.
