Janice L. Howard's Obituary
On September 23, 2009 Janice lost her battle against cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and will be deeply missed by all who loved and knew her. We also offer special thanks to Erin, from Franciscan Hospice House, for her kind and attentive care.
Janice is survived by her loving daughter and best friend, Brenda (Ben) Ward of Tacoma; her two loving sons, James (Sandy) Howard Jr. of Vancouver WA and David Howard of Tacoma; her two loving brothers, Robert and Donald Ugelstad, of Tacoma; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mom loved the beach, pull tabs, and trying her luck at the casino. She loved watching and rooting for her Seattle Mariner's. It didn't matter if they were winning or losing, she would cheer them on. If there was ever a stat you wanted to know about the M's, just ask mom. Her health kept her from getting to a game at Safeco Field, but she has the best seat in the house now. She will see the M's play their final game this season, on her 73rd birthday.
GO M's!
If there was ever anything you needed, all you had to do was ask, mom would give it to you with no questions asked. Everyone who knew Janice loved her and her witty charm.
Mom is with dad now and watching over us. I bet she's making dad her famous spaghetti sauce right now.
