Janice Faye Osborne's Obituary
Janice Osborn passed away after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Janice was born Dec. 2, 1941 in Pipestone, MN and grew up in Edgerton, MN. She attended the Sioux Valley School of Nursing in Sioux Falls, SD. She moved to Washington and married John Osborn on Aug. 29th, 1970. She worked as a nurse for 38 years, the last 32 at Tacoma General Hospital. She was a Girl Scout volunteer for 24 years, and also volunteered at Tacoma Lutheran Home and Jefferson Elementary School. Her volunteer efforts were highly appreciated by many.
Janice is predeceased by her mother and father, Helen and Catherinus Nettinga. She is survived by husband John Osborn, daughter Caryn and son Christopher (Buffy), grandson Hayden and granddaughter Kylie Aio, sisters Barb Nettinga and Vera (Bennett) Roberts, and many other loving relatives.
The family would like to thank Dr. Frank Senecal and his staff for their kind and loving care. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Janice's name to the American Cancer Society.
Viewing will be Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 from 1-9:00 PM at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010 in the Mountain View Garden Chapel. Inurnment will be at Tahoma National Cemetery.
