Janet G. Moore's Obituary
Janet Gardner Moore (Honeywell) June 16, 1947 - March 28, 2023 Tacoma, Washington
Jan Moore, loving Wife, Mom, Sister, Auntie, and Nana passed away peacefully on March 28th, surrounded by family. Jan was born and raised in Tacoma and attended Wilson High School before graduating from the University of Washington in 1969.
A study abroad advisor at Pacific Lutheran University and University of Puget Sound for more than 30 years, she loved encouraging students to see the world and broaden their perspective. She is also an owner of the Double Four Tree Farm with her husband Bob, and loved meeting people from around the area during the holiday season.
Jan never spoke an unkind word and was a brilliant conversationalist. Her motto was always to talk to the people around you - you never know what someone's going through and you just might make their day.
She is survived by her loving husband Bob, her kids Scotty (Jenny), Andrea (James), Kevin (Stacy), and Kenton, her sister Linda, her nephews and niece Dean, Doug, and Cindy, and her adoring grandchildren that will miss their Nana with all their hearts. We will keep up her flower and vegetable gardens with love.
Remembrance and celebration of her life will be held at the Double Four Tree Farm on April 22nd at 2pm. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or The Humane Society.
