Janet K. Matthews' Obituary
Janet was born February 17, 1945 to Robert and Pearl Schattilly in Tacoma. On February 11, 1959, she married Michael Matthews, and they spent the 46 wonderful years together until her passing on March 5, 2005.Janet was preceded in death by her parents and son Robert Matthews. She is survived by her husband Michael Matthews, daughter Tammy Twiddy, grandchildren Crystal Vandenberg, Melissa Matthews, Amanda Twiddy, and Tiffany Twiddy, brother Jack Schattilly, and sisters Ann Watrus and Joann Short.Janet, a 30 year resident of Brinnon, was a bookkeeper for Brinnon Automotive, and also owned a restaurant, Â"ToniÂ's PlaceÂ" for two years. Janet had an all encompassing love for life, and could always find the good in everyone she met. She loved being a grandmother to her grandchildren or anyone who needed a little extra love, and created a strong impression on her community. She also loved to gamble.A graveside service took place on March 10 at Mt. View Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 12, 2005 at Brinnon Community Church, 52 Cirque Dr., Brinnon.
