I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Although I had lost touch with Jane over the years, she was a very close childhood friend and I had thought of her fondly throughout my adulthood, wondering where life had taken her. As a child, Jane struck me as a vibrant and fearless, highly intelligent, compassionate girl, with a deep love of all living creatures. Clearly, these qualities followed her into adulthood. I have many fond memories of our time together, years ago, and feel fortunate to have had my early life touched by such a wonderful spirit.
